Bryceton squinted down upon the piece of paper that laid before him on his desk while tapping his chin with his pen when the door of his office opened and closed. He didn't think of anything about it. His grandchild had been coming and going for the list hour, bringing him little gifts that he found during his exploration of the estate. Those gifts littered his desks. They were the sorta thing that one might expect a small child to pick up. A handful of grass, flower and weeds alike. Beads, a teddy bear, beads, jewelry of different kind as well as other various items. So, he just continued working until he heard the familiar voice of Everleigh Paxton--his daughter and mother. There was a time when their blood wouldn't have supported that claim and, by the void, there were those that would claim that such a thing was impossible. Everleigh was magic, however, nothing was impossible for her. It took him a few moments to register what she had asked him. "What are you doing?" 

He smiled at that question. "I'm writing my to-do list for today. I find it a great way to start the day." He told her, holding the list out towards her to see if she wished. She grabbed the list from his hand and allowed her eyes to fall upon the page to read these words:

It was at this point that Everleigh glanced up from the paper. "Really?" She asked, clearly in disbelief over what was written there. She looked down at the list for a few moments before smacking him hard across the head and turning to walk out the door. Bryceton reached out and snagged the list from her hands, and put a check mark by the very last item upon it, which was.
